Security Analysis of Hash Function RIPEMD-160

Speaker:Dr. Gaoli Wang is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor in the School of Software Engineering, East China Normal University. She received her bachelor's degree and doctorate degree from School of Mathematics, Shandong University in 2003 and 2008, and now is mainly engaged in the research of symmetric cryptographic algorithms. Furthermore, she has chaired the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Cryptographic Development Fund, and other topics and has published more than 40 academic papers in CRYPTO, ASIACRYPT, FSE, etc.

Abstract:

The hash function RIPEMD-160 is an ISO / IEC international standard, and also used in Bitcoin with SHA-2. This talk will first overview the design features of RIPEMD-160, and then introduce the results of a series of analysis of the algorithm.
